Brrr, is it cold outside or what? This frigid weather has me bundling up in my warmest winter coats lately. But just because it’s cold doesn’t mean we can’t still look cute and stylish, mes amies!
Like you, I’m a busy woman in my 40s who wants to look put together but doesn’t always have tons of time to figure out outfits.
I find choosing a warm, practical yet fashionable coat is the key to quick and easy cold weather style. Here are my tips for 3 of my favorite coat styles and how to wear them:
Long Down Coats
These puffy, pillowy jackets are like wrapping yourself in a fluffy blanket! A knee-length down coat in a fun color looks so cozy with jeans, boots, and a sweater layered underneath. I also adore wearing mine over dresses or skirts with fleece-lined tights for an unexpected combo.
To balance the bulk on top, go for fitted items on the lower half like skinny jeans or leggings. Add warmth with boots, scarves and beanies.
