I still remember my first meeting with these shots.

I’m walking through London’s trendy streets with my friend Emma, jet-lagged and honestly feeling pretty rough after a long flight. My skin looked dull, I was exhausted, and all I wanted was to crawl back to bed.

Then Emma dragged me into this tiny wellness café, and I was immediately impressed. The place was filled with plants, and mason jars filled with colorful liquids lined the counter. There was a palpable energy that made you feel…alive.

I was skeptical (I mean, it looked like lawn clippings!), but one sip and WOW. It was like someone flipped a switch inside me. How to Make Perfect Wellness Shots

Every Sunday afternoon, I put on my favorite playlist, light a candle, and turn shot-prep into my little self-care session. Here’s my process:

Prep time: About 20-30 minutes (for all three recipes)
Storage: I use small glass bottles (2-3 oz each) and store them in the fridge 
Timing: I alternate shot types each week – Green Detox one week, Retinol Glow the next, then Collagen Beauty

Of course it’s easy to juice all the ingredients. Just put everything in, press the button, and it’s ready!

The good news: You don’t need a fancy juicer (though this one costs almost nothing, but it IS soooo good!)

I’ve tried both methods, and honestly, the blender method works just as well and saves you hundreds of dollars.

What you’ll need (without a juicer):

The basic method that works for ALL shots:

  1. Prep your ingredients – wash everything thoroughly, peel lemons and oranges, remove any tough stems from ginger and turmeric
  2. Add to blender in this order – pour in coconut water first (this helps the blades move), then add soft ingredients (spinach, berries), finally add hard ingredients (carrots, ginger, turmeric)
  3. Blend thoroughly – blend on high speed until completely smooth, about 60-90 seconds
  4. Strain carefully – place your strainer over a large bowl and pour the blended mixture through, pressing the pulp with a spoon to extract maximum juice
  5. Store properly – divide among small sealable bottles, allowing 60 ml (2 fl oz) per shot

Pro tips from my year of shot-making:

  • Always strain twice for the smoothest consistency
  • Start with less ginger if you’re sensitive to heat – you can always add more next time
  • Taste as you go! Sometimes I add an extra squeeze of lemon if I want more brightness
  • Store shots in the fridge for up to 5 days maximum
  • Shake before drinking – separation is totally normal!

The Green Detox Shot

This is definitely my favorite morning shot. It’ll gently wake up your whole system!

Recipe for 12 shots:

  •  1 big head of celery
  •  1 fresh root of ginger
  •  1 big cucumber
  •  1 lemon
  •  1 green apple
  •  1 cup fresh spinach
  •  475ml coconut water

Why this combination is pure magic:

Celery is incredibly hydrating and packed with electrolytes – nature’s sports drink! Plus, it has these amazing compounds that help reduce inflammation throughout your whole body.

Ginger boosts digestion and energy. It gets your metabolism going, helps with any morning nausea, and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Cucumber adds extra hydration (our skin LOVES this!) and helps flush out toxins.
