Hello fashion lovers! It’s Sofi here, and I’m so excited to talk about the hottest fall trends for 2024. Can you believe it’s already that time of year? Pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, and crisp leaves – I’m here for all of it!

Today, I’m breaking down the top 10 trends we’ll see everywhere this fall.

But here’s the twist: I’m listing them from the fastest fads to the most enduring staples. You know, so you can decide where to splurge and where to save. Let’s dive in!

And let’s not forget – personal style trumps trends any day of the week. If you love something, wear it with confidence, regardless of what’s “in” or “out”.

Fashion rules are made to be broken, after all!

Top 10 Fall trends 2024

10. Bag Charms

Okay, let’s start with something super cute and fun – bag charms!

These little doodads are popping up everywhere, adding a playful touch to purses and backpacks. Think mini plushies, colorful tassels, and quirky key chains. It’s an easy way to personalize your bag and add a pop of personality.

But between you and me? This may be a fleeting trend. Enjoy it while it lasts, but maybe don’t break the bank on pricey charms.

9. Boho + Western

Yeehaw meets free spirit! These two styles or even their mashup give us major festival vibes. We’re talking flowy dresses paired with cowboy boots and fringed jackets.

It’s certainly a fun look, but it might be a little too specific to last. If you love it, go for it! Just stick to a few key pieces instead of overhauling your entire wardrobe.

8. Studs

These little metal accents are popping up everywhere, adding a touch of edge to even the sweetest of styles. I especially love studded ballerinas – they’re like the perfect mix of cute and tough! We’re also seeing studs on bags, belts and even headbands.

It’s such an easy way to add some rock ‘n’ roll vibes to your outfit without going full-on punk. Now, studs tend to come and go in fashion, so I wouldn’t call this a forever trend. Just remember, with this trend, a little goes a long way!

7. Animal Print (Beyond Leopard)

The leopard trend has been with us since spring (and I’ve already written about how to wear the leopard print and look really stylish), but this time it’s not just leopard spots. We’re seeing cow prints, cheetah spots, zebra stripes – it’s like a whole zoo out there!

While animal prints tend to go in and out of fashion, they never really die out (see what I did there?). If you do invest in an animal print, you may want to consider accessories (like belts or shoes) that you can mix and match for years to come.

6. Full denim (especially dark)

Denim on denim on denim! We’re talking head-to-toe blue jean baby, with an emphasis on darker washes. Canadian tuxedos are cool again, folks!

While the all-denim look may be fading, a good pair of dark jeans is always in style. If you’re going to splurge on this trend, make it a quality pair of dark wash jeans that will last you for years.

5. Moto Jackets

Start your engines because moto jackets are back in a big way! These edgy, zippered jackets add instant cool to any outfit.

The best part? They’re actually pretty timeless. A well-made leather or faux leather moto jacket could be a wardrobe staple for years to come. If you’ve been thinking about investing in one, now might be the time!

4. Corpcore and Workwear

From TikTok to the runway, the “corporate aesthetic” is having a moment. Think sharp blazers, crisp button-ups, and sleek pencil skirts. It’s like dressing as a CEO, even if you’re just going to brunch!

This trend has some staying power, especially as more of us head back to the office. A well-tailored blazer or classic white shirt could be a smart investment.

3. Tall Boots

Boots are made for walking, and that’s exactly what they’ll do! But this season, we’re going tall. We see sleek black boots, chunky biker styles, western-inspired designs, and even the return of Frye-style boots.

And don’t forget to pair them with tall socks for extra comfort and style points!

A good pair of boots can last for years if you take care of them, so this could be a trend worth investing in.

2. Chocolate Brown

Move over, black – chocolate brown is the new neutral in town!

The great thing about brown is that it’s both trendy and timeless. It’s warm, it’s sophisticated, and it looks great on everyone.

A chocolate brown coat or pair of boots can be an incredible investment piece that you’ll reach for year after year. Plus, it pairs beautifully with other fall colors like mustard yellow or deep green.

If you only buy one new piece this season, make it chocolate brown – trust me, you won’t regret it! And don’t forget about other HUGE colors this fall!

1. All Suede

Oh, suede – how soft, how luxurious! This fall we see suede on everything: jackets, skirts, boots, bags. It adds such a rich texture to outfits and feels oh-so appropriate for fall.

Suede (or faux suede) is a material that keeps coming back in fashion. A suede jacket or pair of boots could be a great long-term addition to your wardrobe.

Whew! That’s a lot of trends to keep track of, right? But the thing is, you don’t have to follow every single one. Fashion is supposed to be fun, not stressful! My advice? Pick one or two trends that really speak to you and experiment with them.

Remember, the most sustainable and budget-friendly way to update your wardrobe is to shop your own closet first. You might be surprised at how many of these trends you can recreate with pieces you already own! That suede jacket from a few years ago? Totally in style now. Those tall boots you bought last winter? Still going strong!

Before I go, let me remind you all that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and styles. Trends are fun to play with, but they should never make you feel less than amazing. You are gorgeous just the way you are, and clothes should be a way to express yourself, not change you.

Until next time, stay stylish, stay kind, and most importantly, stay true to yourself!

Hugs and fashion love,
Sofi
